Development Update 10/23/14

Hello everyone! We just wanted to talk about some of the things that we’ve been working on this week. There’s some cool stuff happening!

Our programmers added two new enemies to the game, which means that we can add more content to Dark Current. More enemies means more levels to put them in! In addition to being super fun to fight, these enemies allow us to create a more balanced game. Everyone wins!

Our artists have been busy updating the particle textures for the game, and they’re looking pretty good. The earlier levels went through an aesthetic polish stage, some small tweaks were made to player powers, and a few bugs have been fixed.

We also made a new video showing off one of the player builds. This one focuses on a dangerous mix of healing and DPS, so check it out:

Announcing: Dark Current

Hello everyone! We at Deep Blue Productions would like to announce a project that we’ve been working on for a while. It’s called Dark Current, and you can see an early video of it here:

As you can see, it’s a top-down, 2D action RPG set in a dark underwater environment. The game has grown a lot since May, and we’re pretty excited to show you what we’ve been working on! Keep an eye out for further news, and look for our greenlight page that will be coming soon. In the meantime, let us know what you think about the trailer!
